Incorporated on January 1, 1999 the Ambassador Chapter of the 99s is the only all e-mail chapter. We provide networking, mentoring, career counseling and moral support to all involved. The membership consists of women pilots from student pilots to airline transport pilots and everything in between. We are pilots who fly for pleasure, pilots who fly for a living, and for some - a little of both!

The Future Women Pilots (FWP) category is for student pilots to become 99s. In years past, a woman had to have her Private Pilot License to be eligible. Now, this is not the case. We are excited to welcome student pilots who can gain valuable insight into the world of aviation from the more experienced members. Additionally, the time requirement for scholarships (2 consecutive years) starts immediately upon membership processing, whether as an FWP or a full-fledged 99.

There are many advantages to being an Ambassador Chapter 99. The first is being able to participate in your own time and in your own way. All members of the chapter are busy ladies who find it difficult to attend monthly meetings. Via email and the Internet, the Ambassador Chapter is available to all, regardless of other obligations and time constraints.

There are monthly email newsletters. Additionally, the web site provides information about the Ambassador Chapter and its' membership. In the creatively-crafted site by member Joanne Egan, one is able to find answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), put a face to a name from the photo album, and keep up with current chapter happenings. The web site is constantly being updated by Jessie Brightman. It is a reflection of the dynamics of the ever-changing Ambassador Chapter and its' members.
